Hosting move

Posted in Announcements, The Site on February 5th, 2010 by Jan

I’ve moved hosting, from Lunar Pages to OVH. Lunar Pages is a good hosting, but their overselling and price hikes in the last few years made me look for something else.

Other reasons:

  • speed: transfers are a LOT faster (especially in peak hours)
  • SSH access ;)
  • Full DNS zone access
  • Cheaper prices for domain names

If you encounter any oddities, feel free to let me know…

Grmble!

Posted in The Site on December 25th, 2007 by Jan

I hate having to go through the blog to correct posts!

Seems after the latest migration done by LunarPages, the special characters in the blog postings got fucked up. Â’s appearing in places, ñ and é’s being screwed… grmble grmble grmble.

Lunarpages upgrade :0 :)

Posted in The Site on January 11th, 2007 by Jan

Oi!

We’re hosted at Lunar Pages for our hosting, and they just announced they’re once again going to upgrade their shared hosting packages… this time to a whopping 250 Gigs Storage and 2500 Gigs Transfer, and you get 10 addon-domains too ;)

I can just say: Thank you! And keep up the good work!

(In any case, if you hadn’t noticed: we’re quite happy with their offers and their support ;) )

Blog Graph

Diana showed me this HTMLGraph thingy which creates graphs from your webpages.

I ran it on my blog, came out like this:

Legend:

blue: for links (the A tag)
red: for tables (TABLE, TR and TD tags)
green: for the DIV tag
violet: for images (the IMG tag)
yellow: for forms (FORM, INPUT, TEXTAREA, SELECT and OPTION tags)
orange: for linebreaks and blockquotes (BR, P, and BLOCKQUOTE tags)
black: the HTML tag, the root node
gray: all other tags

As you might have (not) noticed, I’ve migrated this blog from using sphpblog to WordPress.. It seems a lot more maintained, and well, it’s nicer overall :)

Okay, I added some more of our recipes to the recipe book. Totalling 341 recipes \o/ ;p

I guess I’ll have to get around to making a comment possibility on those and perhaps adding a way for pics and .. and… and….

*panic* so much work ;p
